Safe Disposal of Medications

SAFELY DISPOSE of Expired/Unwanted Household Medications

Starting on November 17, 2014, Pebble Beach residents looking for a place to safely dispose of their expired or unwanted household medications, medicinal liquids, vitamins and supplements, needles and syringes, have a drop-off site in the Pebble Beach Fire Station.
Located in the fire stations Fire Prevention lobby, this drop-off site is open to residents Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 4 pm. When dropping off your medications, please leave them in their original or sealed containers, remove prescription labels or mark out your personal information.

The four primary reasons to remove medications from the household are:

Youth abuse
Accidental child Ingestions
Improper or accidental use by adults
Water pollution
We encourage you to remove unwanted or expired medications from your household!
