Crime in Del Monte Forest – Do’s and Don’t’s
There was a spike in 2010 residential burglaries, five in October and four in November, with a return to lower numbers in December,January and February. That fact energized the DMFPO board to have a series of high level communications with the Sheriff and others in his office; with Mr. Perrochi and other senior managers at the Pebble Beach Company; and with board members and the General Manager at the Pebble Beach Community Services District. We accomplished a lot with those conferences,and in the process we learned that one role that DMFPO can perform is to dispel many misperceptions about crime and crime prevention in the forest. More…
