While a newcomer to community service, I have been privileged to have worked with people of varying interests in city government. corporate facilities organizations and academic research to develop and achieve common goals. I have worked for over 30 years in the high technology field where I established strong expertise in semiconductor development and manufacturing. I was honored to manage teams of highly competent engineers to define, recommend and present corporate goals to executive staff and industrial partners. Our teams developed and transferred technology in collaboration with local and international partners.
More recently, I have been rewarded with the opportunity to assist seniors in their retirement at several Residential Care Homes for the Elderly. I have trained staff, managed IT resources, maintained the web site, and worked issues in procurement.
Prior to receiving my BS in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Champagne/Urbana, I served as a cook at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. It was during this extended visit to the West Coast that I fell in love with the nature and beauty which blesses California. I enjoy hiking and biking the trails of Pebble Beach and the Monterey Peninsula, and still spend time cooking for our extended family and friends.
